The activation code is valid for more than one user simultaneously - every member in your family can record shows independently while using the same code. If you register once using the activation code (e.g. on the internet), the username and password are the same on mobile phones and iPhones.
Can the activation code be used by more than one member of my family?
Yes, family members can all register using one activation code and they can set up recordings independently.
Can I increase the recording capacity?
No, at the moment the capacity is set at ten hours of recording and it cannot be increased.
Can I record more than one show at the same time?
Yes, the O2 TV Recording service enables you to record several shows on different channels at the same time.
Can I record all shows from all TV channels?
It is not possible to record shows from HD channels(CT1 and Nova HD test - positions 160, 161), erotic channels (Hustler TV - position 170, Daring! - position 171, and Leo TV - position 172), and regional stations (CT1 - North, position 180, CT1 - South, position 181 and Metropol TV - position 182).
Can I record a show that I am currently watching?
Yes, but only if you set up recording at least three minutes before the show starts.
Does the set-top box need to be turned on while I'm recording?
No, the set-top box only need to be turned on when you set up recording directly from O2 TV; the recording is then recorded regardless of whether your set-top box is turned on or off and regardless of what show you are watching. When setting up recording via the internet/wap/iPhone, your set-top box can be turned off.
Can I watch a different TV channel while I'm recording a show?
Yes, you can change TV channels as often as you like or you can ever turn off the set-top box while recording.
Can I start recording a show after it starts?
The request for recording can only be entered before the recorded show starts - at leas three minutes ahead of time.
What happens if I record a show with advertisments? Might I, for example, miss the end of this show?
To prevent recordings from being cut prematurely, an additional 15 minute "protection section" is always added to the end of the recording. These 15 minutes are included in your recording capacity. However, it's important to note that recording is based on electronic programming guide (EPG) information - this means that if the EPG information is incorrect, or if the station changes the broadcast, there will be a negative impact on recording.
Because there is a time shift of longer than 15 minutes with some programs (sporting events, variety shows, live broadcasts), we recommend that you also record the show that's being broadcast after the one you originally wish to record. This will ensure that you don't miss anything due to the shift.
